1101 S. Jefferies Blvd. can be used to navigate to parade start - staging in empty lots across street.

This annual parade starts on S. Jefferies Boulevard at Detreville Street and continues north up S. Jefferies Blvd. to Forest Hills Road (turn left by Chevrolet dealership) to end in Ivanhoe Shopping Center Parking Lot.

The 2025 Rice Festival Committee selected Bubba Trippe as the Grand Marshal of the 50th Annual Rice Festival. Trippe joined the Rice Festival Committee in 2007 and later became the Chairman and Events Coordinator. He served on the festival committee for 15 years and had an enormous impact on the festival joining the committee at a time that the festival was rebuilding. He helped establish the Tour de Lowcountry and worked with the committee to bring back the Fireworks as well as a larger carnival. Trippe says, “I’m just honored to be selected at the Grand Marshal for the 50th Annual Rice Festival.” 

Joining Bubba on the Grand Marshal float will be board members from past decades that helped the festival grow to where it is today.
